Exterior and Interior

The interior of the Outback has undergone a significant redesign, with the primary goal of making it more up-to-date and pleasant. Its dashboard design is nicely set out and appealing, with materials that provide the appearance of being of premium quality around a new dual-panel digital instrument cluster and infotainment screen. Located beneath the primary display are both a digital readout and manual controls for the temperature. According to Subaru, the flat roofline of the new Outback has been elevated by two inches in comparison to the previous model. This should provide passengers, particularly those in the rear, with some greater headroom. Additionally, the cargo capacity has been increased, with two cubic feet of additional storage space in comparison to the model that is being replaced.

EPA estimates that the Outback achieves 26 miles per gallon in the city and 33 miles per gallon on the highway when equipped with the base engine. Only 23 miles per gallon in the city and 30 miles per gallon on the highway are the numbers that the turbocharged variant receives. During our real-world highway fuel-economy route that covered 200 miles, both models achieved a remarkable 28 miles per gallon. During our testing, we were able to achieve a 260-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine in a 2022 Outback Wilderness. The vehicle reached 60 miles per hour in 5.8 seconds.
